Changes to Subs Rates and Bank Details - January 2026

This is an important update about our subs rates and changes to our bank details.  It affects everyone.

From January 2026, Hackney Woodcraft Folk will have a new bank account and new subs rates.    

If you currently make subs donations by standing order, you will need to cancel that and set up a new standing order with the new details below. 

If you don’t currently pay by standing order, this is the perfect opportunity to set one up. 

Paying by standard order (with the correct reference) means you don’t need to keep remembering to pay, spreads the cost across the year, and enormously reduces the amount of admin your treasurer has to do. 

PLEASE consider setting up a monthly standing order - it really takes no longer than making an online bank payment.

New Subs Rates

From January 2026, our requested Subs Donation will rise to £30 a term - or £7.50/month by Standing Order.

We recognise that some people may struggle to make these payments, and that is why we are keeping the suggested Reduced Donation for siblings and those on limited income at £20/term or £5/month by SO.

It is really important to emphasise that this is a voluntary donation, not a fee, and that those that struggle to afford this should not be prevented from being involved.  No young person shall be excluded from any Hackney Woodcraft Folk activity due to financial hardship.  If this is a concern for you, please talk to your group coordinator or the District Treasurer.

New Bank Details

From January 2026, we will be moving to a Unity Trust Bank account.

Please make sure you update any standing orders and change any saved details.
